Key Steps - Level 1 Floor Exercise

The Key Step 1 floor exercise is for gymnasts practising Core Proficiency Badge 8, 7 or 6.

The moves involved in the routine are: -

  • Standing showing good posture
  • Crouch to supported tuck
  • 3/4 Forward Roll
  • Teddy Bear Roll
  • Back Support
  • Rocking on Back
  • Step Turn
  • One-foot stand
  • Stretched Jump and landing

Key Steps - Level 2 Floor Exercise

The Key Step 2 floor exercise is for gymnasts practising Core Proficiency Badge 5, 4, 3 or 2.

The moves involved in the routine are: -

  • Standing showing good posture
  • Forward Roll
  • Three traveling steps
  • Arabesque
  • 1/2 jump turn
  • Backward roll onto knees
  • Front support and press up
  • Turn through side support
  • Shoulder stand, roll to stand
  • Pivot and Cartwheel

Key Steps - Level 3 Floor Exercise

The Key Step 3 floor exercise is for gymnasts practising Core Proficiency Badge 1 and Advanced Proficiency Bronze.

The moves involved in the routine are: -

  • Standing showing good posture
  • Round off
  • Side scale towards y balance
  • Backward roll straddle
  • Full turn jump OR 1/2 turn jump
  • Two cartwheel consecutively OR Handstand roll
  • Bridge OR Splits (either leg) OR 1/2 Lever
