It has been a very busy summer holiday period.

We have had an amazing summer holiday, with so many things going on within the gym.

Preschool, Fab 4’s & 5’s and Gymnastics for All holiday camps

Thank you to everyone who has attended these sessions over the summer. It has been great to see all the children really enjoying the sessions and we know that our coaches have enjoyed them as much.

Beam and Bars Workshop

We have some of our competition gymnasts take part in a Summer Beam and Bars Workshop, were they all had a great time and learnt some new skills along the way.

Parent and Gymnast Holiday Camp Day

For the first time, we held a Parent and Gymnastics Holiday Camp Day. The gymnasts took the lead and spent 2 hours teaching their parents the ins and outs of their training sessions.

Our coaches were very impressed, and you all definitely proved your talents! (or madness we can’t decide which)

We had such a good day, and we hope you did too!

Annual Pit Clean

THANK YOU

A massive shout out to everyone that came to help with the Pit Clean. We would not have got it finished without you all!

We cannot express how grateful we are for all your hard work and help! Thankyou so much

360° Fundraiser Event

Some of our competition and intermediate gymnasts and trampolinists took part in the first part of our 360° fundraiser. In total our gymnasts and trampolinists did a whopping 4636 - 360° rotations!! We had a fun morning and hope you did too!

Thank you so much for all of the money you have all raised so far, we really appreciate it! Every penny we raise for this fundraiser will go towards our awards evening!

(Our Advanced GfA and GfA gymnasts and TfA trampolinists – will be taking part during their sessions in early September)

Rise Summer Competitions

CONGRATULATIONS to all our GfA gymnasts who took part in our Rise Summer Competitions at the end of August.

You all did amazing! We are very proud of you.

We had a blast and hope you did too! Keep working hard!

And a big THANKYOU to all our young leaders who came and helped at these competitions. We couldn’t have don’t it without you!

Yorkshire Women’s Artistic Training and Development Day

On the 3rd September, some of our competition gymnasts attended the Yorkshire Women’s Artistic Training and Development Day led by Amanda Reddin.

Amanda Reddin is a gymnastics coach, and former Olympic gymnast, for Great Britain. Personal coach of many successful gymnasts, including three-time world champion and Olympic medallist Beth Tweddle, double Olympian Hannah Whelan and Olympian Jennifer Pinches.

We all had a great day working alongside Amanda and learning new things!

Thank you to Yorkshire WTC and Dronfield Gymnastics Academy for organising and hosting the event! Thankyou also to Amanda for all her hard work and efforts.
